Nowadays there are more advances as much in the industry we are as in the rest of them. But in the last few years architecture and construction are two of the industries in which they are strongly happening.
If we go back to civilisation, materials within energy they both jave been used by human race to improve their own condition. The first ages in which our history is classified are named according to the developed material and it meant an era to our evolution.
Stone Age with the first tools and weapons to hunt, Bronze Age in which we discovered bronze’s ductility and multiplicity, followed by Iron Age in which iron replaces bronze because of being a stronger material and with more applications.
Products used by humans over the course of history to improve their living standard or simply to survive have been and are made based on materials, we could say that these are all around us at every moment. From them depends partly our existence.

Synthetic tiles: Made of limestone and recycled plastics. They are cheaper than conventional and futher more sustainable. They can be recycled and have a 50 years life.
Titanium foam: It’s made from mixing polyurethane foam with a titanium dust solution, making it light and resistant. Their applications at construction could be to make enclosures for buildings’ façades.
Fibre boards: Alternative for enclosures and divisions. They could be more resistant than a conventional partition wall. As it is synthetic there’s no need to worry about rodents nor insects, so it’s immune to them, and it makes it to have a longer life.
Aerographene: It’s created based on graphene, which is very light with a 0.16mg density per cubic centimeter. It can be compressed and then go back to it’s original form without being damaged and it’s an electricity conductor.
Ecological brick: Nowadays they already exist solutions to conventional brick. Some of them come from natural pressing by compressed soil and others from recycled glasses or plactics.
Solar Paint: This new construction material is yet to be developed but they have created a spray with the ability to transform any surface into a solar energy panel, thanks to perovskite, which is cheaper and captures the same light but with a minor thickness in comparison with silicon’s.
Wooden panel: It’s a sustainable construction material. They are cross laminated panels, formed by wood layers put at a transversal and longitudinal way that form solid timber plates.
Self-rapairable concrete and resins: The Universidad de Alicante has recently presented a kind of flexible and transparent resin. This modern construction material is yet at testing stage but it could have many applications at construction, it could be used for enclosures or to be combined with other materials. This bio-concrete has already been used at a lifesaving station in Netherlands.

We can also realize about it at international events in which each country presents to the world scenes with constructive features never thought years ago, and this, thanks to modern construction materials in which work is being done daily.
